I have previously worked in the transport industry for many years, my curious nature alerted me to the fact that I was witnessing to many deaths among'st colleagues. This had to be challenged and investigated, as I had never before worked in any industry where illness and fatalities among'st work colleagues were so high. Having previously worked in recreation sports and leisure management, I was not going to pass-up this opportunity to apply some old skills of individual health and well-being to assist fellow workers, my employers along with professional drivers of the world.

Finding the drive to complete this manual I had to lean on my spirit, drive and determination. The fact that my character would not allow me to walk away without aiding this dilemma. Seeing people in need seems to activate my community initiative to help.
Having spent my childhood years growing up living across the road from a special needs school, called Shelly School on Wincott Street SW11. I would spend a lot of time sitting on my doorstep watching the children with special needs, this groomed my fascination for people who have conditions which makes their individuals life more challenging. These childhood observations have equipped me with a passion to try and provide solutions for a better healthier lifestyle for people.
I was not going to pass-up this opportunity to apply some old skills of individual health and wellness to assist fellow workers, my employers along Professional Drivers worldwide.


What Inspired Me

Let me take you back to a time when you were not feeling well, do you recall the feeling of no appetite to eat, your body felt weak, and you were not the liveliest person to have a conversation with. No matter how much money you had your body mind and soul would leave your normal state. Do you recall stating you would give anything to be well again?

Even the wealthy will need to wait for the specialist to arrive to provide that life uplifting remedy!

Hi, I’m Brian Roger Roberts, an Author -Nutrition Adviser - Personal Fitness Instructions based in Trinidad, from the UK.

My inspiration to write this book came after working in the transport industry for many years, my curious nature alerted me to the fact that I was witnessing to many deaths amongst colleagues. Readers will understand common ailments associated with professional driving and their reasons for them. With constructive exercises to ease and prevent the discussed ailments, along with nutrients that can heal and prevent further illnesses.

Addressing posture behind the wheel readers will be surprised that the solutions to avoid illness are not only related in the design of the cab. Additional measures can be taken to lessen the risk for both the shoulders and neck.

For example:

- guaranteed breaks of at least ten minutes at the end of each journey, to allow the musculature system to adequately recuperate.

The past three years has seen the professional drivers responsibility take on a new role as ‘Front Line Workers'. The driver is deemed to be the front line of defense ensuring goods and services move about with minimum disturbance, also ensuring commuters are able  to get around freely during pandemics. With drivers knowledge of their expected involvement in environmentally unfavorable situations surely it is in your line of defense to make sure you are of your optimist in health! ‘Health & Well-Being for the Professional Driver’ will give you that edge!!

Brian has corrected my training and eating plan to enable me to work out more intense with more energy due to the calories consumed before workout .
